Because this ain't no glorified duel, they both have their own missions and it's life or death, so it's on Luffy for getting hit by a sneak atk tbh. He should've expected it and just should be more careful from now on. But again, big respect to Katakuri!

Often times the slow pacing of this anime kills a moment for me but I think the build up to their conqueror's clash was executed perfectly in terms of pacing, the epic theme and the animation of the clash itself was also great 👌

Katakuri is great man and I like him as well. He is more likely loyal when comes to the battle with strongest enemy, do not like someone bother his honor battle.
